So I may be getting an old Bayliner from the GF's family if I can convince her paps. Either way I am going to start working on it. It hasn't been on the water in almost two years. The motor worked fine before they parked it. Any suggestions on how to get it running again?

i'd pull the plugs, check them, replace if needed, pull the fuel filter replace with a new one, make sure the battery is charged up. fresh gas...

it's really no different than getting a car that sat for a few years up and running.. basics
1. fuel (tank, gas, lines, filters, pumps...)
2. fire (ignition, spark whatever you want to call it)
3. with boats you want to make sure your water is able to flow through the engine as well, (i'm assuming this is an outboard...)
4. change the oil if it's a 4 stroke, which i think most of them are, but i'm not sure... i'm a sailor so don't know too much about motor boats, but this should be the basics and get you started.
