I like the paint scheme. I think they are around $16g's (even though they are only offered over seas). You can pick the slip-on up for a measly $1600.

IMHO, when it comes to "Performance oriented" Honda's, anything other than standard run o' the mill Si's and S2k's are epic fail. This is not inclusive of anything wearing the Acura brand since they are more upscale and hide their econobox roots well enough... mostly.

Take the Civic type R... How much of a price difference was there between the SiR and the Type R?? About $10k. You can sink 1/2 of that into an SiR/Si and be spaking that thing at every turn.

Honda just needs to leave the performance marque to Acura. Rebadge the S2K as an Acura and all will be right with the world (I knwo the S2k is dead now... but in retrospect). Anything that has worn the "Type R" or "Mugen" badges from Honda since their inception has been marginally better than its standard counterpart... if that. Again, the Acura nameplates seem to get better R&D since when comparing a ITR and a IGSR is night and day.

Nothing Mugen or TypeR is sold here in the U.S. anymore...including the Mugens pictured above.

By the way, that MugenRR Civic is limited to 300 cars and can spank a track prepped S2000.

And Japan doesn't have an Acura badge. Everything from Honda is badged with an "H", even the NSX.

^ I know... I am referring to even the "Mugen" branded cars overthere... hence me comparing them to their SiR brethren, wich were almost mechanically indistinguishable from our Si cars, right? The one Mugen we got here was just useless unless you wanted to say you had one.

I'd pay $27k EASY for a left hand drive FD2R. That would be worth the $$ imo

^ You could have a new 5.0L Mustang for that.... Just saying.

^ When those things come out, you find me a 6spd manual one for $27K and I'll buy it on the spot! I'm thinking they will be pushing $35k and above for a good while. A base 5.0 list $32.5k, and we all know no dealer will let one leave at that price when they're as hot as they are.

From MotorTrend....

At $30,495 to start, the GT costs $1250 more than last year's car. Looking solely at the 97-horsepower increase, that's only $13 per pony. Our tester, which was loaded to its mane with such hefty options as the $3200 Premium package (a dressier leather-lined interior, SYNC, and an upgraded Sirius stereo), a $2340 electronics package (HD radio, dual-zone auto climate control, and nav with traffic), the $1695 Brembos, and more tallied a total of $39,750. Considering the slower, less-powerful BMW 335i Coupe starts at $43,525, a well-equipped GT Premium represents strong return on the dollar, to say the least. What's not an understatement is that the 5.0 is the fiercest and fastest Mustang GT ever. Period. Goodnight.

You are very right about the "Market Adjustment" for the first year or so... hell, the Challenger is still being hiked up a little here.

I want a v6 mustang with the performance pack. I'd be completely happy with that.

You get rear sets ... those are performance right? :rotfl:

Basically, yes. I just thought it was cool to see Mugen doing something with the 1000rr's.
