At the dealer and going to be tuned/carb synced too. Not on a dyno tuned, but tuned by a tech named Ron who's been wrenching on bikes since the 70's. He calims kawis are the best carbed bikes ever, and he can tune mine with this jet kit by sound/feel to near perfect. Can't wait to ride once he's done.

Love it. Super smooth all the way through the rev range, and a nice lil kick on the top end. Much easier to throttle down and out of corners.

How much did it cost you? Was it dyno'd?

No dyno. I paid $285 total. There is no more flat spot anywhere in the powerband and the top end pulls what feels to be harder. There used to be a lag between 6-7k, not anymore. Once past 10k it wraps out quick. Smoother too on throttle inputs, like when I'm going through a tight turn and am using throttle to pull out of the corner. It used to be jerky, now its much smoother.

^ ur bike is carbed like mine. start off with some seafoam and mix that per directions ( 1 oz per gallon of fuel ) into your tank. fresh gas, mixed with seafoam ( any autoparts store ) ride a while and let the stuff do its thing. it cleans ur carbs and lubes things too. if that doesn't help ( could take a day or two to fully work itself into your system ), it could mean your carbs need syncing ( how many miles are on your bike ) or you could use a dynojet kit like I did. The joy of carbed engines! :D

Also, I'm no expert so consult a real pro to find your best solution.

Google dynojet and look for a kit to fit your bike. I found mine online new and only paid $85 plus sh. The install is where it gets pricey. There are plenty of forums on your "type" of bike just as there are on mine. Search the web and find a community that knows your bike. Post your questions there and research from the threads they've already posted. I wanted my bike to be worked on by someone with experience and not by me who has none. Carbs are critical components of your engine and you don't want to run your bike with poorly tuned carbs. I paid $285 just to have a guy install my jet kit and tune my carbs so that the bike runs its best. How many miles were on your bike when you got it? If they were high or if the bike is older than a few years, you could benefit from just having a tune up. I'm meticulous about the maintenace of whatever I'm driving, but imo a bike is even more important. A carbed bike if not ran often and maintained well can gunk up and cause hesitations while riding. Where did you buy yours from and did you ask about the last service the bike got and when that was completed? Clean and lube your chain at least every 400-600 miles, while cleaning it make sure the slack isn't too great ( there should be a guide for your bike online on what cleareances are exceptable ) , check your oil level and oil color often ( there should be a little window that you can view the oil through ), and make sure all your other fluids are good too. Always use premium gas and check your air pressures before every ride. I'm sure you know all of this but I'm just going over the basics for others who may not know. I wished I was closer, I'm always looking for people to ride with. Have fun and ride smart. :D

That would be fun, I know alot of roads to ride. If you decide to do that let me know at least a week or so in advance, and consider a hotel to rest at night. Long rides are fun, but make you tired!
