Drive down a ways, get to a certain spot, hang out shoosting the proverbial shit, then continue on and repeat.

I shall be there in my fake 4x4 (lifted 2wd)... it's not that great in the mud, it does have a 3.55 LS though. When I was running 33x12.50 Super Swamper TSL's it could hold it's own, even in the muck at Texas Hogwallow.

The huge hole that would claim Campos' truck was passable if you hit it with enough speed, which myself and two other trucks did. But this pit had some sort of curse on it... the Chevy that passed through it (a buddy of mine) died after getting water in the distributer. It eventually dried out about 15-20 mins later. I got through it, but in my effort to keep to the right of Campos' and my friend's stuck Chevrolets, I ended up with both right side tires buried in drilling mud. When the Super Duty came through, he followed my ruts to get stuck almost exactly in the same spot.
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4033/4415163807_b73e3cd80d_o.jpg
If you've never experienced drilling mud... think motor oil mixed with sand. If you drive up on it, there's no water-like reflection indicating how far down you'll sink once you hit it. It's next to impossible to drive out of.
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4037/4415164629_4ceed8243f_o.jpg
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4055/4415166311_f1b65f5953_o.jpg
Lenn would make a notable effort in freeing the stuck 'duty...
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2698/4415167049_39d6830f6f_o.jpg
A so-what situation starts to turn bad... but the worst is a around the corner... Lenn wasn't truely stuck, but he couldn't back up into his own ruts and the strap to the stuck F250 was tight, so he couldn't get free of it to pull forward.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2789/4415934886_f82bf4bbcd_o.jpg
Campos' truck couldn't free the two trucks together, and in the process, bent his second tie rod!
After getting Lenn's truck free from the Superduty, Campos took a shot at it. Those Irok's earned their keep. Before the naysayers arrive... I should mention the strap. That's my 37,000lb rated 35' strap tied to Campos' 15' strap and that was still just barely enough
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4044/4415935508_0249757c34_o.jpg
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4050/4415170561_cca3ccf890_o.jpg
After that we turned around and headed back home... and Campos' had to back the entire way down the beach, again... there's gotta be a better tie rod dude...

I had a badass time but got stuck lol, I'm about to get a 2" leveling kit and need some recommendations on tires for the stock rim. $700 budget for all 4 tires
Do 2.5" on the front of a 2wd. 2" will still leave you with a little front rake. The 2" ones level out the 4x4's nicely though.
I have Cooper Discover S/T's.

:thinker:
Maybe if they want to play in the mud they should go for the Mud Grapplers instead?
I'll either be going with the BF Goodrich AT KO or the Terra Grapplers, they are the popular tire choices for other Egg owners who frequent the mud and rocks...

Holler if you need a hand installing it
Never had Terra Grapplers but a few forum friends did back when they first came out and gave more or less the same review... they suck. The TSL's I had weren't bad at all, they could rip the ground up in a serious way but were murder on the senses if driven on pavement.

They are going to be a spare set I would mount on 17" wheels for weekend duty at the beach and such, then the 18s would go back on
