just saying hey, checkin things out on here and tryin 2 get back into things. starting a project with a 1st gen rx7 i picked up for cheap a while back. decided to work on something cheaper than my powerstroke cuz that was gettin expensive. looked at a few rx7 forums and houstonrx7club but they dont have much going as far as meets and things. lookin forward 2 attending a few meets and whatnot:thumbsup::thumbsup:

BONE STOCK right now. just gettin started. not bad for 700 bucks. just done regular maintence, stage 1 clutch. full tuneup, master cylinder and all brakes, u joints, and a ignition system off of a second gen turbo. now that it runs good its time for the fun stuff

i got a early 99.. 7.3 4 door lariat. i had stage 2 injectors, d66 ported turbo, 5 inch exhaust and i made a intake out of 4 inch stainless pipe and a 18 wheeler filter, boost fooler and custom 4 bank chip with programs from totaldieselperformance... was runnin around 500 horsepower and made big clouds of smoke haha. but i blew the headgaskets after like a year cuz i was runnin 40 lbs of boost. had 300k miles on the engine so i just swapped it and running stock for now since i have the rx7.

i still have that turbo btw.. i blew the first one i put on there. the thrust bearing dissappeared? got this one new with warranty and was only used like 3 months.... its up for grabs if someone wants to make an offer. but it only fits the early 99 since its the bastard half a year where everything is different

sounds like u had a really nice set up i've just got stage 2 injectors on it now and my 6 position chip i've taken all my other stuff off it

what year do u have? i put my stage 2s in my buddys 02 with a 6 inch lift and 37s. told him his tranny was gonna fry and he didnt listen. we fried it getting the tunes dialed in hahaha.. mine is full built with triple disk converter

couple of videos from evadale when i whooped a mustang with a 100 shot. u can hear it lopeing cuz of the extreme setting i had. couldnt ever get it to not lope unless it was on the stock setting

haha damn. why havent u built one? i think the one in mine was around 4500 with the converter. idk what he paid for his new one. mine was a 2wd though so i didnt have the stress of the 4wd launches

my best was a 14.5. i spun my ass off in first and second horribly. id even chirp third lol. it would wheel hop so bad it knocked my cd player out of the dash once haha. i would have to roll off of the line on the stock setting and after i hooked in second id click up to the extreme one. from a 40 or 50 roll tho it was killer. well unless it dropped down into second and got sideways lol. did that once in bridge city and scared the shit out of me

im pretty sure that video was of the 14.5. u can hear it spinning and chirping gears and that was my best launch i think. but they are crappy vids cuz the guy deleted the good ones by accident off of his camera

haha u know how i do jp... jk. but thanks for the props on the cars. the car is gonna take a lil work but runs great now. sadly the truck is gonna roll stock for a while until i have the right funds 2 build it right this time so im not worried about the head gaskets and head studs stretching
