Who's down for a McFadden Beach run this weekend? Badestfurball- I know that the wicked CRV needs to redeem itself.
UPDATE- Sunday... McFadden Beach... 1:00pm at main entrance (Go down road toward Sea Rim State Park until it ends, that's the main entrance). BYOB but I will be bringing some.
Lets try to get a decent turn out.

man, i just did the old beach road last weekend...who knows...if we get enough people i may be down again...
Hehe... Yeah, I was just searching the beach today (~4mi after you make a right at the main entrance) for some mystery buckets of oil that we got a report of. I was in our 2008 Tahoe 4x4.

well ive been about a mile or 2 down from where the road is closed.. kinda sucked being alone but im sure with more people its better.. dont ride to much on the tore up road tho cuz theres glass and metal rebar.

Yeah, we were about 5 miles down from where the road ends today. Not too bad as long as you stay nearer to the waterline.

I should have an extra seat or 2, i haven't really invited anyone....
Cool... U offered Justin to ride with ya, right? I only as since up until this morning I had not heard from my wife's freinds. They just called but the wife is still asleep. They may be going and that takes my two extra seats if in fact they do go. Justin wants to bring his GF and I feel bad as hell.

Sooo... since we are meeting at PN Park at 1 and then heading down there, should one of us strap down a grille and get some meats in the cooler and do up like a dinner thing on the beach and then head back after that? I know that a long drive on the beach will take a while. I'm sure we will be getting hungry.

DAMN YOUZZZZZZZZZZZZ I wished I was off today.. I would have gone out there and tore it up with the Ridgeline.

Well Campos and I are going to give it a round 2 next weekend I beleive.
We found out that my 4WD does not work and his truck got F'ed up. I will post pics if Campos is ok with it. ;)

Wow now I wish I could've went... my truck's altenator kicked the bucket but that's a 30 minute repair, I had to finish a few things for work and wasn't free until 2 so I couldn't have gone anyway. Can't wait to see the pics

This is where we found out my 4wd was not working...

I questioned its functionality earlier but dismissed it since I thought that some of the stuff I went thru/over would not have happened in 2wd only.
THEN... about 300 yards later, Campos hits a mudhole that I intended to go around and once he came out, that bitch darted off to the left while his wheel was turned hard right... REALLY fucked up to watch really.
This is the immediate result.

He had to go in reverse the entire ~5.5mi back to the main entrance. Luckily he still had 4wd functionality but little steering control.

Ah now I wish I could've gone... I've learned how to do some 'inventive' tie rod fixes since I've busted a few on my truck. That sucks it happened so far from anything resembling a parts store though.
Yeah, he reversed all the way back and we waited for his buddy who brought him a new part... combined total repair time- 20 minutes.

werd....bent that passenger side tie rod...good times.....BUT that chevy still went through all the holes in reverse then pulled out anotha ford that was sittin on frame...lol...put a new tie rod on then drove her home on her own power...

not too bad, we got it pretty close, didn't pull either way, still gonna have it checked out this week so i don't eat up the tires.
she should be good for next weekend though if we go. think i might bring an extra tie rod with me...lol that side is prone to bending or breaking.
Hehe... I hope the dealership agrees to eat whatever is wrong with my truck. I might need to raise hell. I didn't buy a 4wd for the look or the decals.

for sure, but if not at least its not a expensive fix...a little more than my $23.00 tie rod though.
Either way, you need to get all four spinning! lol
Couple hundred bucks... I hope.

it is..full of rednecks lol... i went one time with the gf and man it sucked!! a bunch of coon asses and hicks!!! but wut was i expecting with a country club right?
man if yall go this sunday ill go but my tires are bald as fuck!!! when they lifted my truck they didnt align it right and if ate my tires up in less than 20k miles. so i called the place that lifted it and they said they would pay for half the price of my tires..but im broke.
so campos if i go are u willing to pull another ford out? cuz when i get into mud all they do is spin!! hell i got stuck in my yard the other day haha

2wd's aren't all bad at muddin'... when I had my 33" TSL's I was able to run decently out at the Deweyville Off-road park, didn't get stuck and didn't steer around too many holes.

Hehe... I made it pretty damned far in 2wd. I tried going thru something that ended up getting me stuck but that's only since I thought I had functional 4wd. You'll be fine if you stick to the harder packed stuff.
