Following the release of several official teasers earlier this week, new images of the 2009 Nissan Maxima have surfacing revealing the car in complete detail. Scheduled to be unveiled at this week’s New York Auto Show, Nissan’s seventh generation Maxima showcases a completely new look for the volume seller and a marked difference to the styling of Infiniti’s G35 sedan, which has been criticized of late for looking too similar to its Nissan sibling.

The new sedan will once again benefit from Nissan’s award winning VQ series of V6 engines but an all-new diesel powerplant is expected to debut towards the end of the decade. In addition to the new diesel mill, a hybrid version based on Toyota’s Synergy drive will also be available.

Yeah we will have to get used to the headlights but Maxima's are sooo nice. I dig the rear of the car. I wonder if it's still going to get crappy gas mileage lol

4DSC (FOUR DOOR SPORTS CAR) my butt. This is a better Maxima by far as compared to the last generation, but Nissan should have done less flash and gone with a rear wheel drive chassis. If you want flash, the g35, if you want more sport, the maxima. This is a fwd g35.
