Someone mentioned the site over at 8thcivic.com. I had noticed that the other local forum had kinda died off.
No painted stocks, just matt black Motegi's. Thats my Wife's Lx with the hand-me-down rims.

Intake, header, flash, blah blah blah blah, brake pads, blah blah blah, suspension, blah blah blah. No, it's not "fast" (it's a Honduh) but thats what makes driving the piss out if it so much fun.

What type of header are you running?

DC race header. At the time, it was the only off the shelf sub $1k header available.

Damn, we have 4 door LX in the garage. I should really look into some Si wheels. Nice upgrade.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. It's dirty as hell right now, but I've been driving the piss out of it. I'm surprised no one has seen me around town.
You can get a set of clean Si rims with tires for around $400. Check the ads over at 8thcivic.com. They are heavier than the Lx's 16" steelies, but they look pretty good. I hated the new Si rims when they first came out, but they have grown on me. Acura TSX, RSX, older TL'S, and Honda Element rims will fit the Civics with correct offsets. There were originally some fitment issues with the Si rims fitting on '06+ Ex's and Lx's (the calipers would rub), but mine just BARELY cleared.
Unfortunately the wifel wants some black with polished lip rims, and it's just not in the budget right now. :(

+1 on verifying he drives the piss out of it, but somewhat skillfully I might add. That little section for the ramp of Delaware to 69, to get on I-10 is like entering a NASCAR race from the pits. :rotfl:
Sorry to bump old thread, but its nice to meet someone that you see on the road so often but never get the chance to chat with. Again, welcome.

I know I've seen you around.....around the westend of beaumont?

Probably me, I live in the west end. I am the proud owner of the dirtiest Si in Beaumont. This September will be TWO YEARS since it's been washed.
There have been reports of another red Si in mid county with black rims, however. I got accused of tailgating a co-worker who swore it was me.
Franklin, I think you cockblocked traffic for me one morning and let me in. If it was you, thank you. Hopefully one day I'll be able to return the favor.

...You work at a dominoes?
chenslee

Nope, don't work at Domino's
I've got the coupe. De-badged, de-stickered, LX grill, no exhaust finisher, no tint, black Motegi tracklite's, goofy looking bearded guy driving.
I go back and forth between hypermiling (35.6mpg FTW) and making sure my tires don't last more than 10k miles.

Yeah that was me blocking traffic for you to get over. It's np and its fun hearing VTEC engage in my window.
BTW why don't you ever wash it?

Sadness, overwhelming sadness. A tree limb fell through the back window during Ike, and SUCK MY BALLS VIN'S PAINT AND BODY did such a horrid job fixing a dent in the C pillar I gave up with the whole keep-it-in-the-garage-slathered-in-Zaino thing. The dirt hides the hideous swirls.
Eventually I'll pay someone to fix Vin's sorry excuse for a repair job and give the whole car a makeover. For now, I'm enjoying the patina and thinking of clever things to write in the filth, like "dirty rice exits here ->" on the bumper. Or maybe some clean flames.

note to self: avoid Vin's paint and body
