The club appeals to athletes of all levels, from top-flight marathoners to beginning runners and walkers. The Sea Rim Striders have been in existence since the 1970s and currently have over 180 members. During the summer, the club holds Monday evening runs in Orange, Port Neches, and Beaumont on rotating basis. The Summer Series is in its 26th year and this year's attendance was phenomenal. Annually the Sea Rim Striders make a financial contribution to the Lamar Track and Cross Country teams.
