View Full Version : 31 mpg city!!!!
I love to drive hard, love to hear my engine near the red zone, but I don't drive it hard all the time and with the cost of everything increasing, I am always trying to find ways to spend less. My last tank I started skip shifting from 2cd to 4th and 4th to 6th, or 1st to 3rd, 3rd to 5th etc..... When cruising around town I keep it between 2k and 2.5k revs, and I still take it up to 4.5k when getting onto the hwy. I also make sure to use the power a few times a day just because I think its good for the car to rev it. By doing all of this, my last tank was 31 mpg!! Whats even more impressive is that this is Houston city driving. Si till I die!

bad ass man. I have been writing my mileage on my receipts every time I fill up to get an accurate MPG. Im guessing I will be in the 23-25 range with me beating on it a little.

You have so much power in your sixth gear with the ms3. I remember test driving it and cruising in 6th gear at 35mph! You should definitely be able to get better mpg after break in. I'm switching to amsoil series 2000 ow-30 next week for my 1st oil change and I hope it will reduce friction and increase mpg.
