Just saw my first one up close at a gas station. It's looks likes its a foot or more longer than the last generation. Kind of looks like the 6 series. Makes me wander if it's based on the same chassis? The car sounded sick though. Kind of weak untill he gave just a little gas, then it was racy sounding with a bit of rasp. Apline white with 19" wheels and tires.

a while back they had bmw drive event here at mike smith, had a 7 series alpino (sp?) supercharged and a 1 series i think for test drive, from what i heard all you had to do is sign some papers and they let you drive the shit out of the cars. i never got a chance to test drive though, i was to busy :cry:

For what you get in a 128 i the base price, its a nice ride and a solid car.

dude... I love the 1 series. The 135i is a hell of a car, and especially for the price tag on it. Just wish they would carry the tii (basically a m1) in the states. But the rest of the new bmw lineup is super clean!!!
