HOUSTON—The first federal job fair to be held in Houston is planned for Saturday at the Palm Center Complex on Griggs Road.
Several government agencies will be there, including the U.S. Secret Service, FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security.
The job fair is being sponsored by the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
It will begin at 1 p.m. and close at 4 p.m., and there will be free parking.
Meanwhile, Source Refrigeration and H-VAC Incorporated, a company that provides refrigeration systems for grocery stories, is holding a job fair Wednesday, July 22. It is being held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its Houston office on State Highway 249.
The company is looking for 20 entry-level employees. They’re looking for people who have experience in things like refrigeration service, pipefitting and plumbing.
