IMO: K-series is a great choice. Yes its a little more expensive motor , but you'll be more appreciative of the (more hp and torque right out of the box) K due to you being already familiar to the motor. Also, I think it would look sick dumped on some NR-10s.!!

yep yep.
K series is cool and all, but for non-native-K-series cars, it seems to be price prohibitive.
You could spend a lot less money and have a lot better car if you go with a B series.

Whether or not it will actually be a better car is not based on your motor decision. It is based on 2 things. PERCEPTION and your unique setup to your vehicle. B-series are more accesable and a little cheaper.K-series make more HP and Torque right away at the added cost. Now I know my opinion on these motors is just as biased as anyones. But based on my perception and experiences I lean towards the K.
BTW you still gotta show love to the guys who still rock the B.

if it was a dc i would say k. but if your going old school, stay old school. meaning no big wheels or elaborate kit. stay classic.

I agree 100%
You could build a much more powerful car for MUCH cheaper. Start pricing kseries crap and then get a price on the same bseries junk. Although you are starting out with a "better" platform with kseries, you could go much faster with that money dumped in bseries.
I support being baller also. LOL You could be baller and pick up an A.I.R. intake manifold LOL

the motor decision will indeed allow a better setup. it is so because a certain amount of money will go a lot farther with the B series platform when compared to a K. It's no matter of perception or any matter of opinion. the fact is that the average deal you will get on the stuff to build a B series will be a lot cheaper than the average deal you get on stuff to build a K series car.

You keep saying a little cheaper, what is a little cheaper? The average full bseries swap is less than half what the average kseries swap is. Go check what the average a2 head sells for, its more than double what a b16 or gsr head sells for. After he just buys kpro, axles, mounts, jumper harness and the misc. things needed to do a kswap he has spent more than he would have on the full bseries swap hauling ass down the road.
If he is wanting to be "baller", by all means throw a kseries under the hood. But, if he is wanting to spend his money wisely to go fast he needs to go the cheaper route.
This "opinion" is coming from someone that loves his kseries motor too.

The main reason for all this is to be different...of coursre i ould come out sooo much cheaper with a B but everyone has one in the DA's ive only found one person with a K in there DA but he has not done a forum right up money is not the thing...i wan2 stand out even if it cost over 10k to put a K in :D
