Many people wonder how to break in a motorcycle, the factory way or the hard way. Here's a link to the most popular site for the hard break in.

I was watching a t.v. show the other day and it showed I believe it was honda doing exactly that, they ran the shit out of the car the moment could turn on, they ran the bike until it reached the maximum mph on a dyno, so they pay some guy to sit on a bike go wot and check for the rpms and mph of each and every bike.
i remember reading this awhile back...pft id still break it in the normal, easy way

I've a;ways run my car motors hard as hell after it was rebuilt. Started it up, let it warm up a couple minutes and go make 2-3 pulls from 1-4 gear and never had a problem. The bike was basically done the same way. Rode it home and made a few pulls with a nice load on the motor. Not necessarily all the way to redline, but lower rpms with a load on it. Its always worked for me.
I'm a fan of this.
I'm too scared to run a new motor like that. I feel more comfortable taking it easy

if it was built to be driven hard well you should break it in hard imo lol

I remember when I 1st got my ninja 250 and was asking the forum how to break it in, Ben said he's touched redline within a block of the dealership after every bike he'd owned, and never had an issue. I made sure my new zzr was well warmed up, and started out taking it to 10k, had it touching 12k on the reg by 100 miles, and took it to redline a few times ( 14.5 k ) after 150 miles. I feel completely comfortable running it hard as long as I've warmed it up properly.

imo just ride it. i dont think theres a rule when it come to breaking the engine in. most bikes come with a one year factory warranty. so just ride the damn thing and dont worry about it.
