Yeah well what was supposed to be a track night for us to make some passes and have some fun turned out to be a bad night with nothing good to come from it.
Aaron, Tony, Phu, Matthew, Tyler (with the tC/GSX-R) and Jennifer meet up at my house before we head to the track. We then proceed to Shell on Walden by the movie theater for some people to get gas. Tony thought he had enough gas to make the trip to HRP, so he didnt fill up. He start our journey to Baytown and what is supposed to be a fun night. One mile into the highway and Tony is flagging me down trying to let me know he needs gas and that his gas light is on so we fly (80-85mph) to Winnie where we stop at the shell station for his retarded ass to fill up. Once he was done we again started our journey to HRP. Aaron, Phu, Matthew and I were in front and left the gas station first. We get a few miles down the highway and notice the bikes (Tony and Tyler) aren't in sight which is weird..
I thought maybe they just got held up by some traffic and are still catching up. Well we get a call from Tony saying "Guys turn around I've been hit."
Now were like WTF!!:banghead: Take the first exit we come to and fly back to the gas station where we see two bikes. One Bike standing perfectly fine and in one piece, beside a bike with a fucked up front end and Tony sitting on the curb. Both bikes were parked beside a big blue Yukon. The only protection either of the riders were wearing was Jeans, a t-shirt, helmet, gloves, and shoes. Both of them had put their jackets in my trunk for the trip since it was a bit hot out.

Story behind the accident:
After leaving the gas station there is an intersection that is a 4 way stop followed by the McDonalds. Well Tony had went to pass through that intersection and as he had got to the other side of the road by the stop sign in front of McDonalds, this retarded lady comes up to the McD's exit pauses, looks at both riders, jumps forward a bit, stops, looks again, then decides "Hey im retarded, lets try to shoot across the street before these bikes get here from 20 feet away.." yeah real fucking smart. So after this retard tries to shoot across, Tony hits his brakes pretty hard which sent the bike into a skid, the rear end came out to his left side and he slammed into the Yukon at around 40mph. Head first into the window then body between the bike and Yukon. He managed to jump off the bike before it hit the ground though. As soon as he was off he ran to McD's grass and just laid there in pain.
The bike is pretty beat up, Tony's left arm is pretty swollen and beat up and he says his whole left side is pretty much in pain. Tyler was about 1-2 bikes behind Tony and was able to stop in time though.

Anyways the retard end up getting the ticket I guess and Tony got pretty beat up with no bike (or way to get around now) while her door was dented and scratched up.

He is in the hospital right now waiting to make sure he's still alive and okay.

So to all who ride, if your not going to wear gear then at the very least wear a helmet.

Not quite a drag racing story but I thought it seemed to fit the section since we were on the way there.

I'm sure pics and more details will be shared when he gets online.

Drive safe! There seems to be a lot of accidents happening lately so drive with extra caution!

Good night.

P.S.- My bday is in 4 minutes. Woot!

:(

I hate to see your bike all smashed up like that, but at least you walked from it.

People around here seem to be in such a huge hurry to get on the road. I get them all the time flying out from side streets/parking lots right in front of me, forcing me to either lay on the brakes or change lanes quickly. Stupid thing is, once they get on the road, they go slow as shit!!!

dam dude I'm glad your okay, thats exactly how I got hit lady stopping then going at the very last second thinking she could magically drive threw me, pushed me 3 lanes onto incoming traffic, if I would have gotten hit about 30 seconds later I prob wouldn't be here. or seriously fucked up. glad your okay and hope to see you riding again with all your gear on.

man this is why i hate people on the road. i always thought i was doing good by driving like a grandma and taking the time to notice and account for everything. till going to work a GRANDMA pulled out in front of me. life is just funny like that sometimes.

thanks everyone! i'm back home and okay now. i would know whats wrong with my shoulder but the damn hospital took too long so we just left. but today my back hurts nd my shoulder hurts a lot more and i cant barely move it up half way. but the bike is at adams shop right now and we're taking it back to beumont to see if its a total loss or still repairable but honestly right now i just want to hold off on riding. this traumatized me becuase i actually made it out a live unlike some others who are unfortunate to have not. i don't want to get into another accident and not make it.

Def. could have been a lot worse.

Good thing our hospitals in town are so caring with us - we only waited 6 hours and still had to wait more so we ended up leaving due to being so tired.

dude tony, god was on your side fortunately. I told you numerous times about reading about accidents and people not making it. VERY fortunate and i'm thankful you're alright.

on another note, this is why I sold my bike. Time to buy a car for you? Btw, text me if you need anything. I'll cover your shifts at work

Glad your okay man.

I'd like to get a bike but the men in my family don't seem to have a very good track record with them.. my cousin Michael is paralyzed in his right arm from the shoulder down and my Uncle had several wrecks, 2 of them his femur and fibula bone broke skin.

The ironic thing is Tony you and my Dad were talking about riding safe that morning when you came over and he was telling you that you have to watch cars and the traffic around you because they are the ones to worry about rather then you just riding....i was just thinking about that whole conversation and just kinda was weird that this happen to you and we were talking about it that day.....but i am glad your ok and you came out of the situation ok because it could of been alot worse....now its time to get you a car to mod lol

Tony

Glad ur ok too bro. It is always the other people that share the roads that are the most danger since usually people that ride already take extra precautions. And to think you weren't even anywhere with high volume traffic just pass that little 4 way stop in small ass Winnie.

Whatever you decide to ride or drive next I'm sure we'll be happy to see you on the road again. Take care of those injuries so they dont worsen and become bigger issues...and dont let any dumb asian just put some green juice on it and call it a day.

haha i plan on it..but this is just a way to hop onto a 1000 next

nah not yet. the shop hasnt gotten to take a look at it yet but they said that it may be totalled out. to my knowledge so far, theres no clutch engagement. the guy at the shop tried to ride it back to the back of the shop and given some gas and what not, when the clutch was fully let go the bike was just free revving as if it was in neutral. the gear box is messed up, he also had trouble getting it into first gear and getting it to stay in gear, it took a couple of tries, theres some kind of fluid leaking from near the tank, probably gasoline. the bike took a couple of tries to start up, the key is stuck in the ignition. thats just a few things to name, there's a lot more.

lilindienplaya
07-20-2009, 06:21 PM
is it still at adams shop?

Tony
07-20-2009, 06:26 PM
nope. its at golden triangle powersports where a tech is gonna check it out

Andrew
07-20-2009, 11:06 PM
I dont think it was gas leaking, the gas tank didn't seem to be damaged much/at all. It may have been brake/clutch fluid which might make a bit more sense of the clutch engagement problem. But yeah there is a nice amount of damage to the bike, also in need of a new helmet since yours is smashed up and needs to be hung on the wall as a souvenir Lol. Give it a few days for them to look at it thoroughly first to make sure they see all damage in it, then we'll have a final answer and possibly a vehicle with 4 wheels, 4 doors, 4 cylinders, and a snail. ;)

yeah true true, it may be clutch fluid, explaining the clutch problem and yeah i def am gonna hang up my helmet cause that shits fcuked up lol. i just need to get it out of phu's trunk. but hmmm that vehicle sure does sound good :)

WOW im a loss for words...

just makes me want to rent a semi and wait just ram into people who want to jump infront of other vehicles on the road. If people werent so much in a rush the roads would be safer... but some people dont realize that. thats why there are alot of accidents a day in america.

Glad to hear that you are ok Tony.

keep us posted on what happens to the bike and your plans after for the future.
