just ordered some new gear trying to cut my losses and let this go
bought this refurbed from b&h a few months back for 159. still in mint condition only been used for 2-3k actuactions. asking 120 obo for it.. its a quality piece, quite heavy its build is not plastic but metal. come check it out for yourself.

pics ive taken with it.. keep in mind all hand held.. havent had a tripod since my d40 the lens and body together probably weighs a good 4-5lbs.

guessin this will work on my d40 =) and i'm a noob to this stuff, but whats the benefit of this lens over the kit lens?

a bit more range, maybe a bit sharper pics,compared to the kit lens its built alot better..adds a bit weight to the camera though.

i can truely say i never took the time to explore the true potential of this lens, been tied up with other things since i bought my camera, im sure with a bit of experimenting the results should be even better then what ive done.. especially with a tripod or trigger remote cuz that thing is heavy
