I made the jump into Houston traffic the other day taking 288 N onto 59 s and then inside the loop. Rice Village, Richmond, Buffalo Spdwy..... etc. It was an experience to say the least and quickly made me want a bigger bike. Not because I wanted to go much faster, but just so I can feel like I have a larger presence out on the road. I plan on keeping my 09 250r through summer and then selling it. I was debating against buying a leftover 08 zzr600, but have since sat on and fallen for the 09 fz6. Its the last year for this bike as Yamaha is replacing it with the the fz6r. Don't be confused like I was, the replacement fz6r isn't a better bike imo and the opinions' of many others. Its heavier, has less power, less fuel capacity, and has a lesser chassis and brakes. The fz6 is basically a detuned 09 r6 engine ( down from 123hp to 98hp ) and of course a less aggressive suspension and riding position. I never thought I'd like these naked class bikes and always thought I'd want a full on super sport , but my experience with the the lil ninja and its very comfy riding position has shown me I want a bike that can do it all. Performance, around town comfort, and touring capabilities. The yamaha rep also said she could get me out the door on one for right around $7k.
