yo!!

My name is Arron, and im from Houston, TX. I am 22, a recent graduate, and am currently employed as an Engineer.
So yes im new to usimports, but not so new to imports themselves. I have been doing lots of research for my current project/build and came across this site. I believe it has some valuable information that can be used towards the completion of my project.
As for some of my previous cars; my first import was a 2000 Honda Civic Hatch which was an auto... booo.. Then I traded her in for an Acura RSX Base model. I really liked it and had alot of fun modding. I installed a Wet Nitrous kit on her and was running a 50 shot along with DCRH and AEM V2. It was some good power and able to take lightly modded type s, but not the platform i was wanting to start with. Soooooo I ended up trading it in for a 2008 Toyota Tacoma 4 door cause i needed a daily and it looked a little more reputable driving to an interview. Then i came across my current project. 1997 EK Hatch. Got a fairly good price and started tearing her down.

A little birdy told me there is a green eg hatch on this board that may be getting a K-heart transplant very soon. At least it won't be the only one :P

You and I are not after the same thing LOL I don't care about my car's stance right now, that will come later when I NEED suspension. I am very happy with my stock eg hatch, riding like a stock eg hatch getting nearly 40mpg.

Lets take this to my thread and keep this man's thread on topic. :thumbsup:

the hatch looks like its coming along nicely. good luck on the K-swap man. what all have you aquired for the swap and what plans do you have for it in the future? i also was looking to do a k-swap in an EK but its way out of my budget right now!

Yea it is coming along very good. It's hard to find time to work on it with work and everything but I think thats a good thing cause too many people rush this project and if im spending this kind of money i am doing it the right way!!!

As for parts i am aquiring them slowely, first I am sending the car to paint and getting the car, jams, bay, and rear striped hatch painted. This is what I picked up yesterday :D

99-00 SI Front End

The bumber used to have fogs and i was thinking about getting them but now i am second guessing. I got a really good deal in it so I bought it. It came with fenders, Hood, SI grill, Bumper, SI Lip, and core support for 300 so what tha heck. Everything is in really good shape too, no dents or anything. Funny thing is that I have liked this color for a long time and its kinda growing on me .

What do yall think?? Iv'e had sooooo many ideas color wise but I am still undecided...

Right now im going to go with Hasport swap Axels and EKK1 mounts. As for all of the other swap parts such as the header, conversion harness, fuel rail ect. I havent really decided yet. Still doing research on which set ups are making the most power na using which swap header and so on.
