i think this is in the right thread

anywho...some of you may remember that i mentioned that my truck was rear-ended the other day, well i guess in texas they dont play if you rear-end some one its your fault and the insurance cuts you a check ASAP.....i went and got an estimate from the dealership and faxed it to the guys agency and they called me this morning and told me they were mailing me a check for the amount that the dealership wrote out.no auditors no agents no body came out and looked at my truck....they just said sorry and asked if i was hurt and mailed me the check...NICE!

edit: the pic isnt showing up for some reason i will try to post the damage when i get home

lol you are lucky it doesnt always work that way. from experience working with insurance companies at a daily basis at my parents shop (Cunninghams Collision) it can go either way really. what it really boils down to really is the adjuster who is working on the claim. ive seen some adjusters try to use so called "recycled parts" on brand new vehicles. meaning parts from wrecking yards mainly keystone, or LMC, ect.

i guess i lucked out then cuz this was like butter...from the past experiances i thought i was gunna be weeks possibly months until i got this settled i even thought my grandfather (Mr. Ayres) and his lawyers were gunna have to get involved but it came out like cake man easy to slice and not bitter at all

my grandfather owns Ayres Custom trucks, and i work here too i can get all my parts below most wholesale prices and i can have the work done here for a fraction of what the insurance is fixin to pay me, its like income tax came twice this year....but i did notice that you said your parents own a shop.....do you guys paint?

they wont be able to tell you anything over the phone. you would have to bring the vehicle up there to get looked at for my dad Darrell to even give you a ball park figure. paint jobs are you get what you pay for thing. so we are more expensive cuz we do it right and on time. so if you want something cheap do it urself or bring it to kents or whoever and get what u pay for.

ok good to know like i said bro ignorance is expensive, when you have wholesale connections there is no sense in paying retail you know what i mean...nothing against you but just not interested in paying for more than i have too. i do appreciate the look out though also where is yalls shop located?

It's literally across the highway from my house, with the right wind I could spit on their building from my front door. Right when you get across the Pine Island Bayou bridge take the Kieth Rd. exit and it's just past Kieth rd. on the right. They do some pretty sharp work. All I ever see is almost-new vehicles getting insurance work done.

You are the one getting pissy considering you are only one butt hurt about it.

Honest Paying Sponsors > Ungrateful Nonpaying CHEATS

one day i will own the business

Keep up the great work man, you are on your way to a great reputation already
