Me and Sluggish went to Evadale last night, I borrowed his new tires/wheels. The track was super duper busy, so I only got 3 passes, none of them were clean lol. We were going to switch tires at the track, but they were jacking off as usual and it took 2 hours before I could make the first pass.

1st pass - Left on 2-step at 5500, bogged the car to a 1.67 60', nitrous came on 2-3-4 and went 10.69@133 with only a 7.18 1/8 mile. The car was moving on the big end, but was super fat 10.7:1, usually runs 11.5:1 or so. It was also sputtering the whole way down the track, which it has never done before, like it was blowing the spark out or something. I may have hurt a spark plug on the way over there playing around.

2nd pass - Tried to leave on 150 shot, destroyed the tires lol. 1.97 60', 11.0@133.

3rd pass - Do a burnout, car dies at the line lol. I crank it back up, 2-step to 6000 and launch, STIIIIILLLL bogs the car on motor, but went 1.65. Nitrous comes on for a split second and then goes lean and the lean shut down switch activates and shuts off the spray.

I pull back to the pits, crank the car back up to leave and I've got a whole 10psi of fuel pressure, car would BARELY idle, and would die if I touched the gas. One of my fuel lines had popped loose inside the tank. The 2nd fuel pump was shoving fuel up to the Y-block, and it was just bleeding right back to the tank out of the leak. We ended up shoving a piece of paper towel in the dead line and screwing down the AN fitting on top of it to block the leak. This was good enough to get me some fuel pressure and make it home.

I'm pleased with the time it ran with an improvable 60', super rich, and the sputtering problem.

I ran a 10.98 @ 126 w/ a 1.70ft. That was on the wheels that are in Pushrods sig, I also had a full size jack, 2 jack stands, a torque wrench and some other crap in the back :beavisbutthead:. Its safe to say the car was sitting at 3800lbs or more

how was this car tuned?

how was this car tuned?

With my laptop on the street, speed density, no MAF. It was running perfect 11.5:1 on spray the week before, then I sprayed it again on the way out there just to check and it was 10.7:1. I figured it was because I had the cutout closed, and the bottle was getting low.

I swapped in a new bottle and opened the cutout, glanced down at the gauge in 4th gear on the first pass and it was on 10.7 again and sputtering, but it didn't sputter on the way out to the track when I sprayed it lol. Bottle pressure was only 800-850, but I had tuned it around 900-950 and didn't want to turn the heater on because the battery/alternator had been screwing with me. I don't think that 100psi (around 10% or so) in the bottle was enough to change the AFR by .8 points, especially when the nitrous is only providing 18% of the power.
