Buy some traction bars and get some stiff as springs for the rear suspension. Drop the front down a little. If you can, run some type of solid mounts (they don't have to be solid metal HAHAHAHA @ Mike) and solid bushings (like the brand hardcore). Not that I'm telling you anything that you didn't already know but, you are only driving the car one direction so you don't need a super balanced/responsive type of susension set up I.E. ohlins (a baller brand).

WHO WOULD THAT BE MIKE?!

alright matt. i might invest in some traction bars. i just put some springs on my car so i might wait a little bit on those. as far as the mounts go I will try to find a deal. Thanks yall

Is there a specific reason for sticking with the b-series? Are there any alternatives that you have thought about? (K-series, D-series, or -gasp-single cam F-series) Just wondering.

i went with b-series b/c the car was set-up (mount wise), i found a good deal on a GSR swap and I use to have a B18b coupe in 03 so I'm a little more framiliar with it. I would like to go k-series later down the road...way later, but you know how that is! unless you're balling like Matt then there is no alternative other than b-series. Hell no to F and D series lol. the market is to limited to parts I think

K series is still cost-prohibitive.

B series still gets the job done for poor people lol

i can show you where to get some mounts for cheap, just remind me about it.

for traction bars, if you get a good deal on some, get em, but you can also get some made for pretty cheap.

ill remind you next time i talk to you on the phone. i should have some extra money here pretty soon! so that will pay for my tune and hondata. maybe some solid mounts and traction bars. id rather be able to put power down to the ground instead of having nitrous and not have enough suspension!

what about bushing kits. could that be a bang for the buck or is that not really neccessary?

I'm going to ricky to get my car tuned.

I've been looking some stuff on crome and I just dont want that on a daily driver. some good and bad reviews on it.

what's bad about Crome when compared to Hondata? If something is wrong with Crome, I wouldn't want to run it. But so far I have found no problems with it.

i've just heard that ppl have problems with "hick-ups" in the system sometimes. like a bad chip. i dont know if you remember An's chipped ECU that i bought from him when I had my LS coupe but it would go in limp mode b/c of that chip. I dont want to go through that again

never had a problem with hiccups here. I think the issue at hand is that you take advice from some people who don't actually know what they are talking about.

It's not that I'm taking advice from ppl that don't know what they're talking about. I've read a good bit of reviews on it and you and I both know that different people have different opinions on things. Especially past experiences with consumer products! I'm gonna go with Hondata S300 and that will be it.

so listening to ricky a tuner talk down on crome is wrong. and ppl should listen to what you have to say about it who don't tune cars for money?

I think your problem is that you stick your nose into other people's business when you know nothing about the topic at hand. I have taken part in tuning many cars on Crome and for money. I've seen no problems with Crome, and I would like to know what problems JP has found with it.

It's like I told him on the phone, the only difference between Crome and Hondata that he will encounter is that he will be paying 500-600 more for Hondata. So if he wants to spend 500-600 more of his hard-earned money, then Hondata will be just as good as Crome. Otherwise he will find no difference.

i think your problem is your sticking your nose into other ppls business so what if jp wants to run hondata no reason for mike to get all butthurt about it. I didnt tell jp to change to hondata. he made that decision on his own get over it. he wants a way of doing his car why not step aside and let the man do it.

It is my business when I am taking part in building this car. I will give my friends advice when they have questions or concerns.

You make it sound like I'm trying to force him to do one thing over the other. I'm not. I just tell him the only difference he will see between Hondata and Crome is that he has to pay 500-600 for the Hondata.

guys i believe the question was what suspension to run in a straight line...

I think the hondata is a good choice, not to hate on chrome.
