I purchased my truck from Mike Smith this passed January and I didn't receive a CarFax report with it. I just noticed some overspray on the fender liner and body filler on the inside of the hoodseam. No biggie but I want to know who did the work since the person that traded my truck in was a Beaumont local.

If I get a carfax, will it tell me who did the work to the truck? I know it will only show up if it was an insurance claim and when but if it was reported to Carfax will it give me that info?

Oh, also my windshield is trying to escape from the truck causing a nasty leak. Its a Ford/CarLite windshield and it looks way too new to be original. I think it might have been "replaced" and wanted to research what was actually done to the truck. I'm not paying for a windshield that I didnt have anything to do with being replaced.

sometimes the carfax will show stuff sometimes it won't. I know one of my cars was repaired twice from accidents and nothing showed up on a carfax report.

Nah, I like this truck. I just gotta find the time to finish bringing it back to where I want it to be.

Autocheck is way better

http://www.autocheck.com/?WT.mc_id=2191&siteID=2191&WT.srch=1

It showed the history of my 3rd truck, which was a 97' F150 Lariat. Carfax showed nothing at the truck even qualified for their $10,000 guarantee LOL... little did they know the entire right side had major body work done, the frame had been straightened, and the motor had been replaced
