so after forever ago ive been in search of cams for my car and all that was ever offered was custom regrinds. now brian crower has finally put them out. not too bad of a price. i spoke with kenny at turbochargers.com the other day about these cams and on their shop tc it added 27whp. not too bad. the only thing is i have to get greddy emanage so i can tune it. thats another several hundred dollars plus dyno time. is it really worth the $1500+?

i plan on being boosted by the end of the year and if i put these cams in and boost, the stock rods may not handle the power. so i guess i will have to build up my bottom end. im estimating close to 400hp after its said and done. maybe alil more. but thats with a turbonetics kit that comes with a t3/t4. a custom build would most likely yield more hp to the wheels

IDK it is a tough thing.....I don't think you'll like the gains/dollar spent, but ultimatley it is up to you.

just install the cams at the same time you do the turbo setup. Then you can tune it once and save a little bit of money and time.

on engine management. you get what you pay for. if you're going to spend extra money on a build anywhere, do it here. this is what is managing your entire setup.

If there is an AEM p'n'p box for your car, that's what I would get.
BUT Rather than doing what I would do, you need to talk to your tuner about what he recommends using.

BTW, The life of your motor is in his hands. You better damn sure be 100% confident in your tuner. If ANYTHING is questionable, if something doesn't sound right, go somewhere else. There are only a handful of tuners in the country that I would trust with my car. And even fewer I would recommend to you. I learned a big lesson and had a pretty steep learning curve.

If you need any advice, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.

Great choice.

Tony is a great guy to talk to with more knowledge than most when it comes to what he does. There is a reason he is expensive. That's who will be tuning my next build. :D
