Price Description
$1795 S2000 K-Pro in a new ECU with wiring harness and bracket.
$1395 S2000 K-Pro in a user supplied PRB ECU with wiring harness and bracket.
$450 To convert an existing K-Pro and ECU to S2000 K-Pro with wiring harness and bracket.

The following items must be replaced before the S2000 K-Pro can be used. These parts are not supplied by Hondata and should be purchased from a Honda dealer.

*

Crank sensor 37500-PZX-003
*

Crank wheel 13622-PCX-013
*

TDC sensor 37510-PZX-003
*

TDC wheel 14112-PCX-003
*

Valve cover 12310-PCX-020
*

Drain plug washer (for PCV valve) 94109-14000
*

PCV valve 17130-PCX-003
*

IAT sensor 37880-P05-A00 (not required, but stock IAT will read about 30 degrees hotter)

The approximate cost of these parts is $300-375.

I know this could more than likely be done cheaper if you bought used parts but, if you total up everything according to their numbers you come up with: $2170, AEM is the only other ems I would ever consider MVP Motorsports (http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateM7.asp?SubFolderID=1159&SearchYN=N) offers it for around 1600 and some change. I would much rather run hondata (as I own KPRO) but I think they need to be a little less proud of their computers.

What does it do for the s2k? I always read the s2k was already "maxed out" from the factory.

the S2K is not maxxed out from the factory. You can tune it and gain some considerable power if you are a little less conservative on the tune. The honda engineers tuned this car very conservatively to ensure it survives stupid ass drivers.

IMO Kpro isn't an option unless you have all the stuff laying around the shop already or can get it for cheap. I'd rather get an AEM box and call it a day.

Does AEM even come with base maps for that car?
