Well, I got a phone call today and was informed that a certain member and myself will be making a McFadden Beach run this Saturday. I still am unsure of what time specifically but probably the usual meeting spot (PN Park) and will be going from McFadden to High Island.

Who else wants to go? If you have an ATV but a 2wd truck and would prefer not take the truck to the beach, I have a hitch and lights but no ball if you would want me to tow them. I can also load up one ATV in the bed if need be.

Hey Jordan, any chance you can drop off the mini bbq pit i left in your rig??? You should come anyways!!! power steering is for the birds!!!

...power steering is for the birds!!!

This. Bring it out Jordan. Either that or go get a new pump today. Its gotta be somewhat cheap (its a Ford) and two bolts and two lines... bada bing!

Whelp... my truck didnt make it out unscathed.

I tried to take an ENTIRELY too deep section of mud/water and got stuck. There's just as much mud in the engine compartment as on the outside of the truck. I have a HORRIBLE misfire from cylinder 6 that got progressively worse as I was on the way home. I got new NGK plugs from AZ that I will be installing tomorrow but to say that the truck has some power loss right now is an understatement for the record books.

FML. Why did I have to go doing that with a 6-7 hour road trip staring me in the face?

Dang dude... hope it turns out to be a bad plug, sounds more like a coil bailed out on you though. You'd rather change a coil than a plug any day... those heads on our trucks are known for shooting plugs out after changing em'.

Pics?? Anyone else get damage?

I thought it was mainly 5.4's that had plug problems?

Who all went? pics?

it had a coil on each plug. the ones I have were ejected from the expedition when the spark plug shot out LOL. They are like 40 or 50 bucks new from Oreilly if I remember.

I purchased a new coil from OReilly's (sorry Mike, I didnt see your post until now).

New problem... I broke off the bolt that holds the #2 coil in the I/M. It broke going in. I shouldda known to stop when it got a little tight. I went to OReilly's and purchased a tap and dye set (for the possible crossthreading of that hole) and now I need to figure out how to get that half of the bolt out of the manifold. I've tried drilling the bolt but due to the odd angle, I've broken three of those 5/64 drill bits that the "Easy out" recommends. Tried a 3/32 drill bit but unfortunately, none of them are really even making a dent in this bolt... FML.

I've been messing with this fuckin truck since 0830 this morning....

Nope... I gotta take it to a shop today. Pneumatic drills are going to be the only thing small enough to get back there with enough ass to get a bit started.

Damn man that sucks :/

That bolt told his pneumatic drill to "Fuck Yo Couch!".

The mechanic even went to the extent of welding a nut onto the bolt. No joy, it spun right off.

Looks like I will have to be removing the I/M to drill it out from the bottom or making a new hole for the bolt. FML. I have it "redneck engineered" to stay in place for now.... not fancy at all... in fact its fugly- but it will hold it in place for now. Lets just say it involves two cut down peices of an old yard stick, a zip tie and black silicone. Bwahahaha.
